Maurice Lavigne, R.Ac, RMT, Certified Qi Gong Instructor and Healer

The author Maurice Lavigne has a long history of training in the martial and healing arts. He has been practicing martial arts since 1972, mainly Aikido, and started practicing the healing arts in 1996 when he became a Registered Massage Therapist. That same year Maurice began his training in Qi Gong, with Master Weizhao Wu of Toronto, Ontario. He also studied extensively under Qi Gong Grandmaster and Doctor of Chinese Medicine, T.K. Shih, founder of the Chinese Healing Arts Centre in Connecticut, USA. Maurice has received certification as a Qi Gong teacher from Master Wu and a Qi Healer from Grandmaster Shih. In 2008, after graduating from the College of Acupuncture and Therapeutics of Ontario, he became a Registered Acupuncturist and is now President of the Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists (MARA). He received certification in Advanced Chinese Herbal Medicine in June of 2013 from the Institute of Chinese Herbal Medicine of California, USA. Maurice practices all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupressure Massage, and Qi Healing at the Fredericton Wellness Clinic. In addition, Maurice teaches Qi Gong classes and workshops.
