Destiny is an Illinois native with two adult children and four grandchildren. Destiny discovered what she wanted to do with her life as a teenager when she was allowed to work with the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) population. She found her knack for helping people while serving her community. Destiny currently resides in Tulsa, OK, has her own business, GiGi's Consulting and Social Services LLC, and is pursuing her therapist licensure.

Destiny has an Associate's degree in Human Services from Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC). BSW from Loras College in Iowa and a MSW from The University of Oklahoma. Destiny has over 25 years of social work experience and has been writing since 1997, and this is her first published book. This 52-weekly devotional book is about Destiny’s life journey and how she has used her faith to help her navigate through insurmountable experiences. Destiny shares personal testimonies and stories from the Bible to uplift the readers and let them know that they are not alone during their times of adversity. One of Destiny’s mottos is, “If you want something new to happen in your life, do something new that will create an opportunity for something new to happen”!
