"Metals are Where you Find Them" is combination of travelogue through 6 continents (30% of content), biography of professor Peter Laznicka, co-founder of Data Metallogenica and author of major technical books (Giant Metallic Deposits, Empirical Metallogeny, Breccias and Coarse Fragmentites; 10% of content) and richly illustrated description and explanation of regional geologies of the world and major metallic deposits they contain (60%). It provides the impression of scenery, demography, politics of over 100 countries of the world visited and lived-in by the author over a period of 60 years, hence the "gravy" missing in technical books, especially the author's own. The book is targeted on geology, resources, mining, industry professionals; university staff and students; and on general public interested in minerals, geology and sceneries. The book has 529 A4 pages, two columns, 195 colour plates with 1034 pictures. The author is former geology professor, now resources consultant, living in Adelaide.
